1 Can it be used as external wall? No, it cannot be exposed to the outside (due to the building frame).
2 What is the price? Price calculated by designer is 189,000 yen/piece excluding tax.

3 What is the color variation? Basic product is milky clear. Color coating is available optionally.
4 What is wall ratio? It is an index to show strength of bearing wall required for quake resistance to build a house. Wall ratio of brace

7 How much does it weigh? Although it depends on size, it is about 30-40kg/piece based on the fact 16-17kg/m2.
8 Can it be used in quasi-fire protection districts? No, it cannot be used for fire-retardant or quasi-fire-retardant buildings (e.g. over 3 floors, over 500m2 of floor dimension
9 Is it deteriorated by ultraviolet rays? The surface is coated for a measure against ultraviolet deterioration. It has been confirmed by tests that strength of Hikarikabe is hardly affected by ultraviolet deterioration.
10 What is brace? The material is obliquely set in the square surrounded by vertical materials such as plates of foundation or beam and pillars. It is a reinforcement material to resist horizontal forces such as earthquake and wind.
11 How can you clean it? Please use the optional cleaning equipment dedicated to Hikarikabe.
12 Can it be installed around the stove in the kitchen? It should not be installed directly to the stove area. However, it may be possible if noncombustible material is also used for hanging partition wall.

13 What is bearing wall? The wall to support horizontal forces such as earthquake and typhoon with braced wall in timber framework method. Conventionally, required numbers of non-aperture wall placed in accordance with Building Standard Law was regarded as bearing wall.
14 Can it be used for 2×4? No, it cannot. It is for timber framework method.
15 How can it be installed to the ceiling? You can directly fix to beam and pillar. In case of reform, directly fix by removing ceiling plate or making holes on appropriate areas in accordance with current specifications.
16 Is it okay to install it displacing from the core of pillar? Yes, it is. However, check the range of displacement.
17 What certification has it received? It has been certified by Minister. ‘- Wall ratio: 2.5

18 Is Hikarikabe non-combustible? No, it is not. However, it does not ignite easily as a plastic material. It cannot be used for buildings with interior restrictions.
19 Does it go with fixed glass? Sliding window is preferable.
20 Is it possible to attach plate on the surface? Polycarbonate (Twin Carbo) was attached in the past. Use a dedicated adhesion tape.
21 What about holddown? Same position as structural plywood (wall ratio – 2.5), displace mounting surface by 90 degrees, screw type is recommended.
22 It is okay to fix via board? No, it is not as it is not pursuant to certification.
23 Can it be used in fire protection districts? No, it cannot. It also cannot be used for buildings with interior restrictions even in regular districts.
24 Is it okay to adhere polycarbonate? There is a specification to adhere Twin Carbo (standard, clear, 6t), but you need to be careful with dew condensation. Use a dedicated adhesion tape.
25 Is it only for wooden housing? Yes, it is.
26 How can it be attached to the floor? It can be directly fixed to beam by removing the floor or making holes on appropriate areas.
27 Is it also suitable for reform? Buildings should been evaluated on quake resistance and reinforced design should be applied to it to meet delivery conditions. We have another product “Hikarikabe Tsuyoshi” specially for reform.
