| 1.Materials | What is typical material composition of pultrusion? | Unsaturated polyester resin and glass fiber（roving and mat） |
| What is typical pultrusion process? | Please refer to Pultrusion in “PlalloyTM“. | |
| In pultrusion process products, what is standard color? | Inventory products color is white in general. | |
| Special colors are acceptable? | Yes, special colors are possible. It may be judged considering quantity of the production of a time. | |
| How much are curvature and a twist? | Please contact personnel in charge. | |
| Can we pultruded materials recyclable? | Recyclable. Their raw materials and fuels can be used in cement manufacture. | |
| Is contained of harmful substance in materials? | View from a practical standpoint, no harmful substance is included. | |
| On the surface of product, any possibility of glass fiber stick-out? | During long severe outdoor exposure test, some glass fiber come out. | |
| Glass fiber harmful? | IARC (International Agency for Research on Cancer) had reported glass fiber (GF) was classified Group ‘3’ in cancer-causing agent evaluation. (Be not classified in human carcinogenicity) | |
| In breaking of the glass fiber, is it visible acknowledged? | It is confirmed visually. | |
| Is a thin pipe done by pultrusion process? | It may be ‘2mm’ thickness. Please contact personnel in charge. | |
| Is there product from carbon fiber? | In production on orders, possibility becomes available. Please contact personnel in charge. | |
| Is there transparence or translucency? | Translucency is possible, but no possible of “complete transparence” | |
| Using resin is Orthophthalic acid based Resin or Isophthalic acid based Resin? | Generally Isophthalic acid based Resin is applied. Please contact personnel in charge. | |
| Is there vinylester resin? | Production on orders will be applied. Please contact personnel in charge. | |
| 2.Shape | What is standard cross sections of pultrusion ? | Please check related cross sections in download catalog. |
| How long do we expect pultruded material? | Theoretically lengthy cargo is possible, however, 10m is due to transportation limit. (Thin string product is 100m drum type.) |

| What is maximum cross section? | They are “1m” maximum width and “300mm” height. | |
| What is board thickness? | Depend on kind of product, assume from 2.5mm to 10mm. | |
| Particular shape is possible? | Please contact personnel in charge. | |
| Level difference in longer direction is possible? | We cannot supply such specification at present. This specification may be special continuous press process. |

| Is there other shape not shown in catalog values? | Yes, there is. Please contact personnel in charge. | |
| Is it possible to adopt special shape? | If production of new die assembly, there is this possibility.Please contact personnel in charge. | |
| Bend type is producible? | No producible by simple pultrusion process. | |
| 3.Performance | What is strength in width direction? | Strength is different in width direction or axial direction. |
| Products can be used for waterworks/ drinking water? | Waterworks equipment and materials were tested in percolation test producer, there may be OK. About details, please contact personnel in charge. | |
| Is it applied disinfection by ozone on the products? | There are many conditions and circumstances. So, it is better to contact our personnel in charge. | |
| Do the properties change by temperature? | In low temperature range, strength increases. However, in high temperature range, strength may be decreased. Practically, it is necessary to investigate by experts. Please contact personnel in charge. | |
| How about combustion characteristics of the products? | In general inflammability. It is possible to add fire-resistant on the product. | |
| Does it generate poisonous gas? | That is the same as that of the case where common combustibles burn.No poisonous property. | |
| Is there any deformation due to temperature changes? | However, no softening under high-temperature service, but adding of loads may increase products distortion. | |
| What is chemical resistance? | There is no corrosion like as metal. However,comparing to FRP chemical tank, corrosion resistance may be lower than such tank. | |
| Is it apply for liquid transfer pipe? | This standard product cannot be used for such application. Please contact personnel in charge. | |
| How about heat-resistance temperatures? | Up to 60 deg C, no special consideration is required. For service condition, it is necessary to investigate. | |
| How about weatherability? | From present experiences, strength decrease is considered little. It is better to add painting for outlook surface roughness. | |
| Is it possible to add mechanical and physical specification? | Production by order may covers this requirements. Please contact personnel in charge. | |
| 4.Processed | Does user himself cut and process the products? | Cutting is possible by using of cutting tools (motor operated device, circular saw, working sander grinder).We recommend finishing turning by thunder or sandpaper. |
| How about painting? | User painting is possible. Painting material are “Urethane-modified acrylic paint ” or Fluororesin paint painting as general.”. |

| How about welding? | No welding at all. Binding material is used as glued connection. | |
| How about adhesion? | Epoxy resins are the strongest adhesives. Firstly, surface roughness is necessary. It is necessary to understand resin connection cannot transfer large force. | |
| How about bending workability? | Because of thermosetting resin, no effect of softening-melting, bending cannot be expected. | |
| How much of painting thickness? | Thirty micron thickness is required to protect against UV rays. Two coats are recommendable. | |
| How does it open holes? What type tools are used? | Please use “drill for the ironworker”. Drill type is cone. | |
| How about “turn off the tap”? | Tap thread strength is very weak, so it is not practical. | |
| How about “cutting tolerance” ? | In general,±5mm. If user considers special degree of accuracy, please contact personnel in charge. | |
| 5.Design | How about joining method? | Simple adhesion by adhesive material, overlay joint, Mechanical joining by rivet or bolt. |
| What is specific gravity? | Specific gravity is between 1.6 – 2.0. | |
| Is data available for our FEM analysis? | Please contact personnel in charge. | |
| Can we get technical document of standard products? | We can provide PFD. | |
| 6.example of construction | Where are construction examples? | We would like to introduce user locations of proper examples. |
| Could you advise adopted samples. | Our company has experiences of nearly 50 years in pultrusion. Please inform user’s application fields specifically, we believe we are helpful. |

| 7.Others | How many days does time for delivery take? | Stock products; 1 week, others; between 1 and 2 months. |
